Simon Cowell is cleaning house at “X Factor,” according to Deadline Hollywood sources, who indicate judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones will not be asked back for the second season of Cowell’s hit singing competition “X Factor.”
Cowell and fellow music industry bigwig L.A. Reid will be the only cast members returning next autumn.
Though “Factor” pulls a huge audience, it continues to lag Cowell’s old Fox show, “American Idol.”
“We change these shows all the time,” Cowell recently said.
Cowell discharged another judge, British songtress Cheryl Cole, after the show’s first American episode was taped.
