WERNER HERZOG'S MEXICO

From Cantinflas, an agent in Mexico came word on WERNER HERZOG'S MEXICO. A project I have reported on in the past. This is truly a bizarre bit of news and caused me to smile. Pretty cool huh?

Remember your scoop on Werner Herzog's Mexico? Well, a Mexican newspaper interviewed him last week, and he mentions that the voices of the Aztecs would be speaking nahuatl (the Aztec language) for the Mexican and European releases, but will be dubbed into native languages for the rest of the Americas, i.e. Navajo or Sioux in the States, Inuit in Canada, Maya in Guatemala, Inca in Peru, Quechua in Ecuador, Guarani in Paraguay, Aymara in Brazil, and so forth. No word as if they'll speak zulu or swahili in Africa, but I don't think so.
