Jenny Agutter in The AVENGERS?!?!? Plus a possible huge cameo spoiler - WARNING!

Hey folks, Harry here...  Sure enough, it's over on IMDB.  Jenny "LOGAN'S RUN & AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON" Agutter is playing "Female Council Member" in Joss Whedon's AVENGERS - like I needed another reason to be excited about THE AVENGERS.   Now - that I think about it, I had heard she was going to be in this...  but what's really got me posting...  Well, it's one of those things that will get the water cooler boiling over with speculations and fevered fan fantasies.

I'm warning you.

Seriously.

You may want to avoid reading further.

Really - it's just like in AVENGERS 11...   You have been warned...

Alright.  So I take it you're serious about learning this.

Well, you see, I got an email from a bloke by the name of CHRIS, who happened upon an article over at RadioTimes.com which features a little chat with the beloved Jenny Agutter, who purports to avoid conventions like the plague.   Anyway - she talks a bit about THE AVENGERS and here's what is said:

As for Agutter, she’s about to metamorphose again to appear alongside Samuel L Jackson and Scarlett Johansson in upcoming Hollywood blockbuster The Avengers.

“I’m sworn to secrecy! I wasn’t allowed a script until I got there, and when I did, I felt like a complete child being on big sets and a huge parking lot full of Winnebagos.”

She does let slip that two of these housed Spider-Man and Iron Man; we suspect Agutter won’t be able to avoid sci-fi conventions for much longer.

Alright.   SO - was it just a brain fart?   A bit of undigested gravy?   Or has Jenny let slip a fanboy fantasy...  to see SPIDER-MAN in an AVENGERS movie?   I mean, it does take place in New York for a bit.   Did Disney strike an awesome deal with Sony?  How extensive would this cameo be?   Is it even real?  Did the reporter mess up?  This will be one that will get discussed for a while.  Right?
