Harry, Moriarty, Father Geek and crew will be presenting a special film in SAN FRANCISCO this coming Thursday!

Hey folks, Harry here with something... Something wonderful for you folks in Northern California. I've been trying to get this event set up for quite some time now. Actually... it's been myself, Moriarty and a couple of other super-secret folks, plus the brilliant chaps and chapettes at the METREON in San Francisco. So... What am I doing exactly?

Well... It's not the Butt-Numb-A-Thon (v.2.0.west coast), but it's pretty cool. Actually... It's way friggin cool. If you remember that list of my top 10 most anticipated movies of the year 2000... Well one of those films. (CHICKEN RUN, OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOU, CASTAWAY, SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE, MONKEYBONE, GLADIATOR, PATRIOT, DR SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, THE HOLLOW MAN or THE X-MEN) One of those magical films. One film that even in it's roughest of forms, the studio behind the film is so utterly convinced of it's coolness... That they are allowing AICN to conduct our very own screening of the film MONTHS early, with this rough unrated print... And ya know what? I'm SO FUCKING JAZZED TO BE DOING THIS!!!

By working with the the METREON, this is going to be a one time FREE event, that is available for just you badasses that can get to the tickets first, and plant your ass in the seats this Thursday night.

I'll be there with Father Geek, Moriarty and Annette Kellerman. As a film geek, you should be willing to claw your way to get a ticket, and you have to act very very very fast. There's only like 240 tickets. That is not very many. Especially for the ultra-computer literate area of San Francisco. But personally... I'm telling you right up front. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS! This isn't about meeting me, though I will be there. This is about seeing one utterly kickass flick before EVERYONE, but the people sitting around you. And once you walk out of the theater you should be one of them folks that has had a bit of a glance into the future. You know... Like when Moriarty hops in his Time Machine. The the METREON will be our collective time machine. Set for some opening weekend to take place later in the year 2000.

No, I won't say which film it is, and no... I won't hint at which one it is. But I will say that you couldn't pry my ass out of my seat at this screening. And I can't wait to talk with all of you about the film afterwards. I'm so friggin giddy. Other than Austin, San Francisco is my favorite town on Earth... ahhh... the food! The atmosphere! And one hell of a great film to be shown. Below are all the details about the screening, how to get tickets... who to contact for further information... You know... the who, what, when, where and why of the story. You are absolutely guaranteed to get far more than your money's worth for this event!

So, for you 240 people that get in. I have this to say. See Ya Soon!!!

I'm hosting, along with my friends at the METREON -A Sony Entertainment Center...a screening of a not-yet-released, major motion picture on Thursday, February 24 at 7:00pm at Sony Theatres the METREON , 3rd floor.

the METREON is at the corner of Fourth and Mission streets in San Francisco.

Tickets are available beginning at 10:00am (when the METREON opens) on Monday, February 21, at the Guest Services counter in the Gateway on the ground floor (not at the movie theatre box office, but at the the METREON Guest Services counter). From what I've heard any movie-goer worth their salt in the San Francisco Bay area will have been to the METREON already, so they should get where this place is. You should NOT go to the movie box office.

Two tickets per person.

First come, first served. Only 240 tickets available. Once they're gone, they're gone.

You MUST have your ticket with you for admittance - no exceptions.

On Friday, February 25, at 6:00pm, me and my merry band from Ain't It Cool News will be at microsoftSF on the second floor of the METREON for a free meet/greet - That event will be 6:00 - 7:30pm.

If folks have questions about the event, they can email AnnaK@Sre.Sony.Com or Marlene@Metreon.Com
