Paul Rudd (“Dinner For Schmucks,” “Our Idiot Brother”) will play Leslie Knope’s opponent for the newly vacated Pawnee city council seat, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Another Will Ferrell co-star, Katherine Hahn (the recently cancelled “Free Agents”) will play an advisor to the Rudd character.
Rudd began shooting his multi-episode “Parks” role after he completed work on “This Is 40,” Judd Apatow’s sequel to “Knocked Up,” which teams Rudd with Leslie Mann, Jason Segal, Melissa McCarthy, John Lithgow, Charlyne Yi, Tom Everett, Lena Dunham, Robert Smigel and Albert Brooks.
Poehler and Rudd were components of the casts of "Wet Hot American Summer," "Monsters Vs. Aliens" and "Wake Up Ron Burgundy."
