Beaks here...
When the 2011 Sundance Film Festival competition slate was announced today, one of the titles that jumped out at me was Quentin Dupieux's WRONG. How could it not? When you make a film about a telekinetic killer tire that begins with Stephen Spinella climbing out of the trunk of a car to deliver a monologue about the nature of storytelling, I'm pretty much a fan for life.
Unsurprisingly, Dupieux's follow-up to RUBBER looks like a completely absurd tale about a man named Dolph (Jack Plotnick) searching for his lost dog. Check out this brief, off-kilter trailer.
Okay then.
Here's the official plot synopsis for WRONG from today's SUNDANCE announcement.
Dolph searches for his lost dog, but through encounters with a nympho pizza-delivery girl, a jogging neighbor seeking the absolute, and a mysterious righter of wrongs, he may eventually lose his mind… and his identity.
