Hot off a Muppet-centric SNL that gave the sketch show its best ratings of the season, NBC has secured the rights to “Meet The Nabors,” a Jim Henson Co. project about a human family who find themselves living next to a house full of puppets.
Writers John Hoffman (Kevin Lima’s “Afterlife”) and John Riggi (“The Larry Sanders Show,” “The Comeback,” “30 Rock”) are behind the project, possibly NBC’s first puppet sitcom since “ALF.”
“The Muppets,” the big-screen project penned by “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”/”Get Him To The Greek” collaborators Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, hits cinemas tomorrow.
