I have much love for Short Circuit. Call it a nostalgia-contaminated view if you want, but Johnny Five IS alive to me. Like Wall-E, Yoda, Kong, Ymir and a few dozen other non-existing creatures, Johnny Five has a personality and I believe whole-heartedly that he exists when watching the film.
And I have a huge crush on ‘80s Ally Sheedy. Like big time! And The Guttenburg is in the film in all his ‘80s glory!
