Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
The Brood is a strange movie, for sure, but it’s one of David Cronenberg’s least talked about movies from his early career and I don’t know why. Here’s what the movie has: deformed murderous children, drunk as shit Oliver Reed, a crazy cult, Samantha Eggar doing something… very, very wrong. Like it should be illegal wrong… and a crazy death scene set in a kindergarten classroom FILLED WITH KIDS.
Scanners is an iconic film, but I think The Brood is a much better made film. But I’m content loving it, I don’t need everybody to agree with me…
So, today we have a shot from the making of The Brood, with David Cronenberg apparently showing some of the horrors in store to his young star, Cindy Hinds, who always reminds me of Carol Anne every time I watch this film. Click to embiggen!
