Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Phantasm 2 is an underrated piece of ‘80s horror awesomeness. Phantasm as a series is a whole lot of semi-post-apocalyptic fun (we’ll ignore Phantasm 4) and the second film in particular is a favorite because it has the weirdness of the rest of the films, but with a little bit of studio money behind it, so you get some really outer space effects work.
Today we see behind the scenes of a makeup effect that really creeped me out as a kid. This Tall Man warning to his pursuers was supposed to look like Angus Scrimm, but I always thought Freddy Krueger was making a cameo, which would make a little sense since Mark Shostrom also did the effects for Dream Warriors. The Tall Man and Freddy, that would be a (pun intended) dream team of horror.
