Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
I love the Lord of the Rings, I think The Frighteners is super fun, Heavenly Creatures is amazing, Kong is cool and Feebles is hilarious, but there’s no question what my favorite Peter Jackson film is. Braindead, first viewed by a teenage me under the title Dead Alive, is a masterpiece of horror-comedy, one of the goriest, funniest, sweetest, sickest movies ever made!
Mum is a great screen villain, Lionel is an awesome reluctant hero (especially when wielding an unruly lawnmower in a crowd of zombies), Paquita is adorable and the sheer lunacy on display is just plain awesome.
I have some Braindead stuff for you coming soon, including a revealing AICN Legends length chat with Weta’s Richard Taylor, but first I’d like to celebrate with a very rare making of shot featuring Richard Taylor, Peter Jackson and Tania Rodger playing with some adorable Baby Selwyn heads.
