Lon Chaney Sr’s impact on film is undeniable. The crazy lengths he went to look horrendous on film are legendary. From dropping egg whites in his eyes to simulate blindness to strapping his lower legs to his thighs to portray an amputee the man put himself through living hell so you will be entertained. I hope you appreciate it!
I couldn’t let Halloween season pass without spotlighting Lon Chaney Jr’s talented daddy, so here is a shot of Chaney Sr showing off his kit from the making of 1925’s The Phantom of the Opera.
