A few weeks ago, I expressed my admiration for the haunting short film THE LAST POST, the directorial debut of former horror journalist-turned-actress Axelle Carolyn (CENTURION), which is currently running the festival circuit. Since then, FEARnet premièred her second film, a 60-second short titled HOOK with Leatherface III himself, R.A. Mihailoff. Clearly not one to sit around, Carolyn is already working hard on her third short, THE HALLOWEEN KID, and would like you to lend a hand in helping it into production.
Carolyn, along with her producers Neil Marshall (THE DESCENT, DOOMSDAY, CENTURION, DOG SOLDIERS) and James Webber of Fingercuff Productions, are currently a few days into their crowd-funding drive for the five-minute movie, and have so far been utterly overwhelmed by the response. Before things even officially got underway on Monday, a sizeable portion of the budget had already been raised, and in just four days, the initial £4,000 was secured thanks to 55 backers. Yet with almost a month to go until the end of the crowd-funder, you can still support the film as the surplus will go towards better equipment and superior set designs.
