Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
I hesitated with this one because I thought it could be photoshopped, but I swear to God I remember seeing it on the DVD back in the day.
As you may be aware, Jean-Claude Van Damme was originally brought in by John McTiernan to play the creature in Predator. That lasted all of two days before Van Damme peace-outted, not happy being an uncredited stuntie/effect. Oh, and the original Predator design looked horrible.
Thankfully the movie gods stepped in and Stan Winston (reportedly with some help from James Cameron) and Kevin Peter Hall created a cinematic icon and Jean-Claude got Bloodsport, so everybody was happy.
The below shot looks to be Van Damme on the set next to an armless Carl Weathers. I found a smaller version that isn’t cropped, which I’ve included below. Hope you guys dig this pretty cool alternative behind the scenes pic. If it's not real, apologies, but it's still cool-lookin'!
