Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Buon giorno! It’s giallo time, so forgive the overly Italianness of this entry into the BTS column! We’re going back to Dario Argento’s glory days, before the dark times, when giallo was a just a genre and not a title of a horrible disappointment.
Dario Argento was a master and I’d like to believe he’s still in there somewhere. As a director and producer he gave us a lot of amazing movies in the 70s and 80s, with one of my favorites being Cat O’ Nine Tails. I love Tenebre, Deep Red, Suspiria and Phenomena more, but there’s something really special about his first two giallos, Cat O’ Nine Tails and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage.
Today we have a shot of Argento directing Catherine Spaak from Cat O’ Nine Tails, culled from the really great Adventures in European Filmmaking blog!

If you have a behind the scenes shot you’d like to submit to this column, you can email me at quint@aintitcool.com.
Tomorrow’s behind the scenes pic has been pushing too many pencils!
