Lars Von Trier and Fantastic Fest have a rich history together, and it's only right that his new film, MELANCHOLIA, play there. I can't wait to see it. The cinematography looks amazing, and this is certainly not a film out of his Dogme '95 aesthetic, if the trailer is any indication. The new U.S. trailer came out today, and it looks gorgeous:
Will this be the film that gets Von Trier serious mainstream box office? Doubtful. But he can keep doing what he's doing, and I'll be happy. Nordling, out.
