Well... Dang it Jodie. Sigh. Well, frankly I think ol Hillary Swank would do a fantastic job after she finishes Sam Raimi's THE GIFT. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this project. The latest script by Zaillan is really quite something.

Access Hollywood has been in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival for the last few days and had time to sit down with Jodie Foster to iron out all the truth behind her leaving the Hannibal project. If you'd like to skip my explanation and just hear the clip yourself, feel free to scroll down and check the clip out. However, on with the explanation.
Jodie said (once again) that she has declined the role of Clarice Starling because it conflicts with her directing Flora Plum. Next, they had clips of interviews with Hilary Swank (Boys Don't Cry) and Ashley Judd (Eye of the Beholder). Swank said that she has been reading the script and is very interested. She said that they are talking about her possible involvement right now. As for Judd, she said that she is NOT going to be involved with the film. She said that it is a great part, but she said that they have been talking with "someone" already and that "someone" would be "perfect" for the part.
