Hey martial arts fans, Harry here. While I'm awaiting the delivery of my "ENTER THE FAT DRAGON" one sheet, I received the following correspondence from the Beige Babapapa from 'the pre-British colonial enclave of hypocrisy' as the letter states with news about non-Jet Li starring sequels to BLACK MASK and WARRIORS OF ZU MOUNTAIN. Now ordinarily I would put this in the same 'it is trash' category as my recent DVD purchase of IRON MONKEY II...which is nowhere even in the same category as... IRON MONKEY, a work of brilliance! But... Tsui Hark is in charge, and save for when he is cursed with the muscles from Brussels.... well... he's a god. So... keep your eyes and ears open for more on these please.
Harry, long time reader blah, blah etc....
I'm situated in the pre-British colonial enclave of hypocrisy (1 country 2 systems ...hmmmm) known as Hong Kong.
Don't know whether this is of interest to anyone, but it's been touted in the local press that sequels to both "Black Mask" and the classic " Warriors of Zu Mountain" will be under production soon, with Tsui Hark taking the reins.
Unfortunately, it seems that Jet Li will not be starring. As a side note, Woo Ping Yuen has just got married and is definitely on board for the Matrix sequels, and that "God of Cookery" has been bought up, with Jim Carrey in mind for the role.
