1/6 Scale IG-88 from Sideshow Collectibles
Sideshow Collectibles will soon bring Star Wars fans this 1/6 scale bounty hunter. The new IG-88 features more than 20 points of articulation, light-up eyes, extendable legs, a sculpted shoulder bracer, a hand-painted deco application, a fabric bandolier with magnetic attachment capabilities, 2 blaster rifles, 3 mines, a display stand and more. He’s available for pre-order here for $174.99. He should arrive in the fourth quarter of 2011.
1/6 Scale Classic Predator from Hot Toys
Hot Toys will soon give the classic Predator a new 1/6 scale treatment. Very similar in appearance to the intergalactic hunter seen in the 1987 sci-fi original Predator, the “new” Classic Predator from 2010's Predators features a 14-inch body with more than 22 points of articulation, a new head sculpt, netting on its hand and body, 6 interchangeable hands, a shoulder cannon, forearm armor with an expandable metal blade on the right side, body armor, a detachable battle damaged face mask with LED lights, a forest scene diorama with bone trophies, and much more. It will be available in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Black and White The Walking Dead figures from McFarlane Toys
McFarlane Toys has announced some black & white exclusive figures sure to please comic book purists. These have been repainted using the same color scheme as colorist Cliff Rathburn in The Walking Dead comic book. Officer Rick Grimes will be a Toys R Us exclusive while the Zombie Two-Pack will only be available at comic shops and specialty stores. Look for all of these figures in September.
Dalek and Cybermen Building Sets from Underground Toys
Underground Toys has two new Doctor Who building sets on the way featuring two evil races. The Cyberman construction playset features a swivelling cyber-conversion machine arm and moveable conversion bed with restraining arms. It comes with a Space Captain and a Cyberman micro-figure. The Dalek construction playset has a swivelling machine arm, moveable conveyor belt, control panels and a rejected parts bin. It includes one Dalek Drone and one Dalek Scientist micro-figure. Look for these to release in November.
Presidential Monsters from Huckleberry Toys
If you are one of those people who like to mix politics with classic Universal Monsters, Huckleberry Toys has the perfect figure line for you. These Presidential Monsters retro figures feature Baracula, Lincolnstein, The Ronmy and Wolf Bill in the first wave. Those should release in September for around $25 each. The second wave will feature Monster from the Watergate Lagoon, Phantom of the White House and Zom-bush.
And finally...
...we got an early look at the new Marvel Select figures of Captain America and the Red Skull from Captain America: The First Avenger by Diamond Select Toys. Cap will release on August 17 while Red Skull will hit shelves on August 24.
