Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
Today I have a twofer for you. I have one real deal Behind the Scenes shot from The Getaway featuring Steve McQueen and director Sam Peckinpah going over the script and then one shot of McQueen by himself that is, frankly, epic. It’s a shot that proves that nobody, but nobody could fuck with Steve McQueen.
The Getaway itself is a fun flick, but not my favorite from either star or director. Having said that, Ali MacGraw is hotter than the sun in it (I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that could have been one of the contributing factors to her running off with McQueen and abandoning her marriage to producer Bob Evans during the shoot) and the script by Walter Hill is prime ‘70s badassness.
