Turns out those rumors of “Heroes” icon Christopher Eccleston assuming the role of the late King Robert’s much-discussed middle brother Stannis were false.
Britisher Stephen Dillane (Thomas Jefferson in “John Adams,” “44-Inch Chest”) will join "Game Of Thrones" next spring as the “humorless and authoritative” Stannis Barartheon, according to Entertainment Weekly’s James Hibberd.
Dillane will be joined by Dutch actress Carice van Houten (Nina von Stauffenberg in “Valkyrie”), who will embody the sorceress Milisandre, a clairvoyant who seduces Stannis into her religion.
