Ummmm..... INSPECTOR GADGET..... 2.... ugh

Harry here folks... While SiskoFreak is reporting the coming of the apocalypse (aka INSPECTOR GADGET 2) which is Disney's MASTER PLAN to turn out a financial UPSWING... I do have to correct my young apprentice. "Box Office Flop?" I'm afraid not. The movie pulled in money all summer long, and wound up at $97,360,069.... unfortunately, that was $97,360,069 more than it deserved, but nevertheless... $97,360,069 is not a box office flop. My only PRAYER is that this new writer... Ron Anderson can create a script that COMPLETELY IGNORES and REINVENTS the entire Gadget film world based solidly on the amazingly fantastic original cartoon. Rupert Everett should not appear... Nor should Broderick. They both proved that they can suck immense shit in a movie called INSPECTOR GADGET once... they should not be allowed at it again. Of course there's the theory that they should LEAVE IT ALONE AND NOT MAKE ANOTHER FILM OF THIS EVER.... COME OUT WITH TAPE COLLECTIONS AND DVDs OF THE CARTOON and create more toys based on the cartoon. But then.... That's just me.

Hi Harry--

I'm a big-time fan of the site, but this is my first scoop. And, unfortunately, it's bad news. I just read over at Yahoo!/Reuters Entertainment news that Disney has hired three writers (Ron Anderson, Chad Beguelin, and Mark Perez) to work in-house for one year on various projects.

The bad news? Ron Anderson let slip that he's working on a treatment for "Inspector Gadget 2". I can't imagine why Disney would want to do IG2 to begin with! Beyond the fact that it was a disgrace to a classic cartoon, it was a box-office flop! But, oh well, that's Disney...
