Brad Pitt to play Jack the Ripper for the Hughes Bros. pic... FROM HELL'

Hey folks, it came to my attention today via JamMovies that there is currently a rumor going about that Brad Pitt is going to be playing... Jack the Ripper. Bizarre. Personally, I don't believe that, though Don Murphy could probably tell us. Frankly, I believe he would most likely be up for playing the role of the opium addicted honest detective trying to track Jack, as... Jack would basically be a 'cameo' part for all intents and purposes. However, Brad's slate is pretty full as is. He's working on that GUY RITCHIE film (and has since November 1999). He's also in talks to do Mark Romanek's URBAN TOWNIES as well as SMUGGLER'S MOON for New Line, THE COURIER for Intermedia and THE PRETENDER. And lest we forget.... He's also set to do the Coen Brothers follow up project to OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOU called TO THE WHITE SEA at 20th Century Fox. So, until we hear from a more reliable source... just take this Jack the Ripper thing with a grain of salt.
