Christopher Meloni, who won’t be back on “Law & Order: SVU” next season, is in negotiations for a “major role” in the latest Superman movie.
Meloni has a hairline similar to those of Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey.
If his deal closes he’ll join Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, none of whom are playing Lex Luthor.

Meloni played Hal Jordan in the animated “Green Lantern: First Flight.” His other credits include “Oz,” “Bound,” “Twelve Monkeys,” “NYPD Blue,” “Runaway Bride,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” and the “Harold & Kumar” movies.
