As far as superhero movies go, there's a lot riding on CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. So far this summer we've got THOR, which I liked, GREEN LANTERN, which I didn't, and X-MEN FIRST CLASS, which I loved. Cap's got a lot to rest on his shoulders - THE AVENGERS next year, and a possibility of a franchise. But word-of-mouth at early screenings has been crazy good, and so I'm psyched. I'm a big ROCKETEER fan and I'm confident Joe Johnston's nailed this. The new poster, from Yahoo, looks appropriately heroic:
CAPTAIN AMERICA opens July 22nd, but I wouldn't be surprised if that moved up a couple of days. Nordling, out.
