When people ask me why I am so negative about... oh let's say the studios or the NRG (National Research Group)... I just have to reference some atrocity like this one. See, it starts off as an innocent poll about your interest in a CHARLIE'S ANGELS feature film. Ya know... a simple "How do you like this actress or this actor?" But then... the pervasive part. They begin to poll you on the concept for a future film. Whoever paid the pre-requisite $10,000.00 for the poll to ask how they should make a THREE STOOGES movie should be just plain shot. MY GOD! A new wacky hip urban Stooge? Fuck that man. What the hell sort of mentally exhausted retard comes up with this shit? Two of the stooges vying for the hand of a gal? LEAVE IT ALONE! Ya know... one time when I was drunk and hanging out with some friends, we had just watched PETER JACKSON'S DEAD ALIVE and SAM RAIMI'S EVIL DEAD 2. And in my inebriated state, I thought how cool it would be to have Bruce Campbell play Moe, Philip Seymour Hoffman play Curly and David Paymer play Larry (John C Reilly as Shemp possibly) and they would have an adventure... but every time they... oh let's say hit each other with the sledgehammer... the sledgehammer would sink in spouting out a fountain of blood. By the end of the film, they'd be just super screwed up cadavers beating each other. Then... the next morning... I sobered up and realized.... THAT'S STUPID.... THERE SHOULD NEVER BE A THREE STOOGE MOVIE!

I don't know if this information would be of any interest to you, but I thought that I would try. I am a member of the AMC theatre chain's MovieWatcher program, and last night I got an e-mail inviting me to participate in a survey about certain "entertainment properties." It was a long survey that took me at least thirty minutes to complete. They asked me about Charlie's Angels and The 3 Stooges. They wanted to know what my opinion was of Billy Murray, Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz, and Drew Barrymore. They wanted to know what i thought of the old show, what I expect when I see a movie with these people. I highly praised Bill Murray, and commented that the girls would be OK if a clever script was chosen.
Next was a shocker: they wanted to know what my opinions about The 3
Stooges. I categorically am opposed to the very idea of remaking a Stooges
movie. I can just wince in horror of some stupid story involving the stooges
loosing their (insert plot point), teaming up to find it with some spunky
new stooge (Chris Rock, or Chris Tucker), all the while Mo or Curly is
pining for the love of some no talent actress like Rosie O'Donnell. Perhaps
the worst part of this could be if they're willing to go back and tamper
with the stooges, then somewhere in the pipes is a Marx Brothers remake. I
would personally load up my car with dynamite and commit a geek jihad into
whatever studio soundstage they would be filming that abomination. They did
