Hey folks... Harry here with a bit of rumor about the casting of ANAKIN SKYWALKER. Now first off... I'd like to make a bit of a state of the union address about the casting rumors on SPIDER-MAN, STAR WARS EPISODE II and HANNIBAL. What you are reading on many many sites (including this one) is extreme fan excitement. There's millions of fans out there, each with their own individual perfect idea of who should be... the person to play one of these roles. DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THEM UNTIL IT IS CONFIRMED. When I say it's confirmed... it's a done deal. Same with VARIETY and HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. I can't speak for the other film sites as I don't know their internal policies... BUT... Most of this casting stuff is pure discussion material. Like the two names coming from Liz Smith. However... I do have one name that's come to me through some very interesting sources. His name is Jeff Garner. He is a complete unknown from the midwest. A weekend actor of sorts. And I've had some folks out at the Ranch tell me that Lucasfilm is performing a background history check on the man to make sure there are no hidden skeletons... to see if he's... up to snuff. All I've been able to find out is that he's from.. I believe Iowa, and is not an actor by trade, but has advance martial arts skills and performs in midwest plays. There is of course no known pictures of this man, but I'm currently following this lead. Feel free to try as well... Here's Liz's leads...
It's a little late in the day, so you probably already have heard this one, but the Advocate is reporting that Liz Smith is reporting that Anakin is being played by Charlie Hunnam, of Queer as Folk Fame.

Brit hunk Hunnam as Anakin?
Gossip columnist Liz Smith dishes that while General Hospital star Jonathan Jackson is reportedly in the running to play Anakin Skywalker in "Episode II" of Star Wars, it's Queer as Folk sensation Charlie Hunnam who really has the heat on for the role. The straight 20-something Hunnam, a baby-faced blond, is known to gay audiences for his man-loving role in Folk, the racy British drama about urban gay life.
