Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.
I've started seeing a hell of a lot of commercials for TNT's big new sci-fi/alien invasion series "Falling Skies," starring Colin Cunningham, Maxim Knight, Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, and even the great Dale Dye, which begins airing June 19. The series executive producer is one Steven Spielberg.
And TNT seems so confident in its the show that they're having screening of the two-hour first episode in select theaters over the coming weeks, including one here in Chicago on Tuesday, May 31 at 7:30 at a theater in downtown Chicago (the exact location will only be given to those who win tickets). And I just happen to have about 40 seats to give away to this screening, which will feature special appearance by the show's star Noah Wyle. I'm not sure if he's doing a Q&A or simply introducing the episode, but he will be there. Here's how you win tickets:
Send me an email at FallingSkiesChicago@aintitcoolmail.com (please note the new email address) with the subject line "FALLING SKIES". In the body of the email, I need your Name, whether or not you're bringing a Guest (guests' names are not required), and the answer to the following question (read carefully): "What is your favorite science fiction work made exclusively for television and why?" So, what I'm looking for is a show name and a brief explanation. Keep your responses BRIEF--limit it to 50 words (no matter how tempted you are to go over the limit). People with the most interesting and original answers win, and will hear from me over the holiday weekend, so check you email frequently.
Since this is not an exclusive AICN event, it will be slightly overbooked to make sure there is a full house for our guest. So you should arrive early to make sure you get in and get a good seat. If you can't arrive early, don't enter this contest. If there's even the slightest chance you or your guest will have to back out of attending if you do win, don't enter. If you have a job that might make you late or unable to attend, or an ill/pregnant relative, or a temperamental significant other, or a scratchy throat, do not enter.
Anyone not showing up without informing me 24 hours ahead of time so I can fill their seats runs the risk of being no longer eligible for future screening contests.
Good luck, everyone! And thanks to TNT and DreamWorks Television for letting us have these seats and bringing Noah Wyle to Chicago.
