“Saturday Night Live,” a 36-year-old show that airs in the middle of the night on one of the least-watched broadcast networks on TV’s least-watched night, is not only the highest-rated scripted show on NBC, it’s the highest-rated scripted show on television.
Overnight Nielsens suggest its Gaga-enhanced season finale hit a 4.5 in adults 18-49 this weekend, which means it scored better in the key demo than new episodes of “Modern Family,” “Glee,” “NCIS,” “The Office” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “House,” “Family Guy,” “Desperate Housewives” and every other non-reality show on TV.
