We not only get a full hour of the resurgent “Office” tonight, we get a full hour of its not-spinoff.
NBC says of “The Bubble”:
Everyone in the office is unhappy when Chris (Rob Lowe) decides to make some big changes in the parks department -- especially Tom who starts to question his career choices. Leslie is caught off guard when Ben (Adam Scott) has a meeting with her mom.
NBC says of “Li’l Sebastian”:
Leslie and the parks team put together a memorial service for a dearly departed friend. Meanwhile, Tom makes a big life decision, while Chris reacts badly to a health problem.
What NBC refuses to tell you is cloaked in the text invisible.
* Ann starts her new job at city hall this week.
* Virtually everyone else starts new jobs too.
* Tom is assigned to city hall’s terrifying Fourth Floor, which is half had-neighborhood, half haunted-house.
* I laughed very hard at the reason Tom is not allowed to move things around in his new office.
* Stand-up comic and “Simpsons” writer Dana Gould turns up as a Fourth Floor inhabitant.
* Ron is amused by Chris’ changes until he sees his new Swedish workspace.
* Viewers are advised to listen carefully to the woman in pink’s sprinkler-related complaint.
* Ethel Beavers is a stitch.
* Tom’s big life decision is precipitated by Jean Ralphio.
* Lots of big stuff happens in the last 10 minutes, including a new look for Ron.
Deleted from last week’s “Road Trip”:
For those who haven’t heard, “Parks” has been renewed for a fourth season, but it’s moving back to the dire post-“Community” timeslot at 8:30. But tonight:
10 p.m. Thursday. NBC.
