Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It seems like "in-talks" is the new "signed," as we get a good dozen a week. Some pan out, some don't, but the way news is reported now there's nothing to do but join in on the discussion no matter how premature we get.
Case in point, there's a new story over at Deadline that says Rachel Weisz is in talks to be the new Bourne girl... Until we get a new Bond in development I have to call some spy's female the "___" Girl... it's just the way you talk about these things, right?
Jeremy Renner is the new lead. It's not a direct sequel/remake, but more a spin-off with Renner playing an operative in yet another dangerous covert government program. Renner's great and Weisz is awesome, so I've got nothing bad to say about this pairing.
I felt Weisz hasn't really gotten her moment to shine in a big action flick. The closest is The Mummy Returns and when that's the closest you've gotten to the sun you're likely a little cold, I'd imagine.
