Good news for the Boston Rob Mariano fans! He just signed on a co-host for a new History Channel series.
This is lucky for Boston Rob fans, because I’m reasonably certain his non-jury days on the current season of “Survivor” are numbered.
Yes, he has a hidden idol. Yes, he excels at competitions, even in middle age. Yes, his (enormously effective) buddy-system strategy will soon precipitate the expulsion of Zapatera’s final two: the Hairy Hillbilly and the geezerly NFL vet.
But when they’re gone, Boston’s Angels – Natalie, Andrea, Ashley and Grant “Bosley” Mattos – will devour Boston Rob like post-coital mantises.
Because Mariano’s televised betrayal of Lex van den Berghe was barely seven years ago. And fans-turned-contestants have long memories.
