Arnold kicking around a comic book character and offered remakes of Predator and The Running Man?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with some Arnie news for ya'.

The obsessive folks at TheArnoldFans attended a talk with ex-Governor Schwarzenegger at The Arnold Classic and asked him to elaborate on the recent comment about him having 3 scripts on his table.

His response was like a good Lost episode... filled with mystery, more questions than answers and a few surprising reveals.

"Well, first of all it's more 15 films, obvious ones from The Terminator to remakes of Predator and The Running Man and all of those things. Then also a lot of original stuff too. But I am also packaging a Comic Book character right now. I'm going to announce that sometime by the end of March or the beginning of April."

Let's start with the remakes... There was already rumblings that he was being courted to return to The Terminator universe... I don't know, I think personally at this time it doesn't make much sense unless he's playing a scientist or something and they pull a Data/Bishop angle and have the creator base his creation on himself. It's a continuity thing. It doesn't make much sense if the Robot radically ages... unless he's infiltrating a retirement community that is. Although that didn't work so well last time they tried to explain why the T-800s looked like Arnie...

As for remakes of Predator and The Running Man... surely he meant sequels, right? Unless they want him to play the Host of a Running Man remake I don't see the big studio appeal for having him return to those films. And remake of Predator with him as the action lead? No way. A sequel starring Dutch? I'm in a dozen times over, especially if they're able to bust McTiernan out and have him return to direct.

The most intriguing thing he said was about packaging a comic book character for himself. What could that be? I'm drawing a blank.

Lots of exciting stuff in the future for us children of the '80s who grew up with this man swaggering up and down the screen.
