Cary Elwes, who romanced the title character in “The Princess Bride,” will now take care of a different princess in David E. Kelley’s “Wonder Woman” pilot for NBC.
The actor will play Henry Detmer, the acting CEO of Themyscira Industries.
Elwes, the first male to be cast in the project, is 5’11, which puts him at the same height as Adrienne Palicki, who plays the titular Amazon.
The last major role still to be cast is Diana's ex, Steve Trevor.
Kelley’s prior credits include “L.A. Law,” "Ally McBeal," "The Practice," "Chicago Hope," "Picket Fences," “Boston Public,” "Boston Legal" and "Harry's Law."
