31-year-old Ramon Rodriguez (the second “Transformers” movie, “Battle: Los Angeles”) will play handler Bosley in ABC’s new “Charlie’s Angels” pilot.
Rodriguez will be far and away the youngest and most Puerto Rican Boz in the history of the franchise. David Doyle played him in the 1970s series, Bill Murray in the first movie and Bernie Mac in the second movie.
Minka Kelly (“Friday Night Lights,” “Parenthood”), Rachael Taylor (the first “Transformers”) and Annie Ilonzeh (“Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”) play the title characters. Robert Wagner (“Hart To Hart”) is expected to take over for John Forsythe as the new voice of Charlie.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (“Smallville,” “Shanghai Noon,” “Herbie Fully Loaded,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”) scripted the new pilot.
