What's happening with that OCEAN'S 11 remake'

One of the things I found out at the GREEN MILE post-party last night was about the OCEAN'S 11 remake that has long been attached to RUSH HOUR director, Brett Ratner. Now usually I would be about 2000% anti-remake of this film, but Ratner is a bit of a cool kat himself. I'm sorry... but anyone that worships Lalo Schifrin's ENTER THE DRAGON score so much that he hires ol Schifrin to come in and do a score for his own movie.... Well... that's cool. From what I heard, Alan Horn (new head of Warners) has allegedly greenlit the remake based off of Ted Griffin's rewrite. Well...
Now that we know it's going to be on the tracks, my next question was, "Who the hell are they going to get to play Danny Ocean," that's the Sinatra character... The answer? Well, if this suit was to be trusted, they are going to make an offer to George Clooney. Well, that's as much as I could find out, but now I'm off in wonder-land. Hmmmm.... Who to play Sammy? If Ratner is directing, Chris Tucker is probably a shoo-in. Dean? Sheesh... I have NO IDEAS.... Do we have a modern Dean Martin? Hmmmm... There ya go...
