During a Real Radio interview this week, RED DWARF star Craig Charles revealed that the long-running, on-again, off-again series will soon be on-again - returning via another set of installments that'll shoot later this year/early next (per THIS report in The Daily Mail).
On his BLOG, Robert Llewellyn, who plays Kryten on the show, confirmed that "yes, we are making a new series, commissioned by Dave, not a special or a movie or a one of dooberry. A full 6 half hour episodes of a brand new series."
Evidently some consideration is being given to performing the new group of shows before a live audience, but concerns about spoilers and video escaping in advance of broadcast could conceivably sink such designs.
Many RED DWARF seasons/series are currently streaming via Netflix. BACK TO EARTH, the most recent installment, is even streaming in HD if memory serves. They are also available HERE.
