We can get into all the controversy about violence in video games and such, considering everything that's happened in the past few days, or to tke a different tack, you can debate the entire "Are video games art" question if you wish. But I think this is pretty freaking cool regardless.
Looks like French filmmaker Mathiew Weschler took the GRAND THEFT AUTO !V game and engine, and with two years of work, created a feature-length film out of it. Called THE TRASHMASTER, the plot involves a guy trying to clean the streets of Liberty City going after a serial killer after said killer dispatches some dancers from a strip club. It's 88 minutes long, and pretty freaking awesome, in my opinion:
