Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes Pic!
I'm a massive Beatles fan and have been since childhood. A lot of credit for that goes to my wannabe hippie mom who is as big a Paul McCartney fan as I've ever met. So, when other kids were listening to New Kids on the Block and MC Hammer I was listening to Help and A Hard Days Night. Oldies and classic rock dominated my childhood and teen years, but I've never grown out of The Beatles.
Their films are smarter than you'd expect, especially when it comes to A Hard Days Night, which is one sharp comedy. Help is a little more of a mess, but it's just one of those movies that you can't hate. It's got so much lightheartedness and fun in it that you don't really care that the main problem of the movie is that Ringo can't get a ring off his finger. It's goofy, silly and filled with some amazing music.
So, today's pic has John, Paul, George and Ringo freezing their fabs off in the cold during the ski portion of the film. It's not a hugely dynamic shot, but thanks to reader Talia Dietrich it was the only Beatles movie shot I had (I just dug up some Hard Days Night stuff that you'll see in later entries!). Enjoy!
