Beaks here...
Slashfilm's Peter Sciretta is spreadin' the news this morning that Kristoffer Aaron Morgan and Eric Vespe's horror movie THE HOME has been picked up by Dimension Films. Obviously, everyone at AICN is thrilled that our own Kraken and Quint are going to have the support of a major genre distributor before they even begin shooting. Very few independently financed movies are this fortunate. And no one deserves a turn of good fortune more than Eric and Aaron.
We've already revealed the incredible cast for the boys' feature debut, but in case you missed it, feast your eyes on these names: Brian Cox, Louise Fletcher, Ed Asner, Cloris Leachman, Louis Gossett Jr. and Fionnula Flanagan. No shortage of badass performances between these folks (not to mention a number of Oscars and Emmys). The film will be produced by Elizabeth Avellan and Elijah Wood with practical f/x coming courtesy of the geniuses at KNB.
THE HOME has been described as a Lovecraftian horror yarn about a badly-injured firefighter left to recuperate in a seriously fucked-up (and likely haunted) nursing home. If ever there was a milieu rich with horrific potential, it's a nursing home. Can't wait to see what Aaron and Eric have in store for us. Congrats, fellas!
