Rumblings about an alleged WAR OF THE WORLDS project being heard...

There is an interesting rumor floating about right now that Warner Brothers has been approaching some British CGI FX houses about doing work on an all new WAR OF THE WORLDS project. Details are incredibly sketchy right now, but the word has been whispered that it is to be 100% CG. I'm continuing to do some digging on this one, as I haven't heard about any attachments... It might only be in the extreme development stage right now. If you hear anything on this... Drop me a line. There is still quite a bit to Wells' book that has never been done on film yet. I love the George Pal version. I believe it is a great film... But like THE THING and JOHN CARPENTER'S THE THING... The source material can support two great versions.... Or so I feel...
