I am – Hercules!!
AMC says of tonight’s penultimate episode, “Wildfire”:
Rick leads the group to the CDC after the attack. Jim must make a terrible life and death decision.
What AMC refuses to tell you is cloaked in the text invisible.
* Noah Emmerich (“The Truman Show”) is introduced this week as a scientist named Dr. Jenner.
* None of the regular characters get to meet Jenner this week.
* This is a highly transitional episode, setting up “TS-19,” a quite gripping season finale co-scripted by series mastermind Frank Darabont.
* Pay no attention to IMDb. Michael Rooker’s character, one-handed racist Merle Dixon, does not appear in either of the final two season-one episodes.
* Morgan Jones, the first-episode character played by Lennie James, does not appear in the final two season-one episodes either, but he is name-checked.
* Nobody reaches a correctional institute at the end of season one.
10 p.m. Sunday. AMC.
