Folks... Here is a look at the directors that SONY is going out to for the concept of directing and helming SPIDER-MAN. I swear to God I will scream like a stuck Ned Beatty face-forward into an Arkansas Tree if Sonnenfeld or Columbus even thinks of doing this film. I'm a personal fan of Michael Bay's... but I would FAAAAAAAAAAAR prefer to see David Fincher helm this movie... if only because it would inevitably mean the involvement of effects god, KEVIN MACK, who MUST be the Visual FX head on SPIDER-MAN. I want to be the first to officially PLEAD that DAVID FINCHER make this movie. I know he's smarting quite a bit from the reception of FIGHT CLUB at the box office, but this movie would give him enough clout to film whatever sick twisted work of genius he could concieve of. Fincher... Accept it, but make Kaufman-esque demands. Have SONY greenlight your fondest dream project in return for you helming this. BUT MAKE SPIDER-MAN!!! Please... Please don't let Sonnenfeld get his grubby hands on this film.... PLEASE... PLEASE!!!
