I am – Hercules!!
According to Deadline, fans started lining up Sunday for TBS’ first episode of “Conan.”
But will Andy Richter be allowed back on the couch?
According to untested spy “Ryan,” the answer may be yes:
Hi Hercules,
My brother and I were able to see a test show for Conan O'Brien's new show yesterday (Thursday, 11/4/2010).
Over the past 2 weeks, there were 4 scheduled test shows- Oct. 26, Oct. 28, Nov. 2, and Nov. 4.
Elijah Wood, Charlie Day, and Lisa Loeb were the guests I saw- it's nothing ground-breaking, but it's gonna rock.
I loved Conan's Tonight Show, but this felt like a return to normal.
No cameras/phones were allowed, but I think the set is closer to the one he had on Late Night, rather than the Tonight Show (with a cool guitar pick-shaped coffee table and a moon in the backdrop that he can move with a remote control).
I don't remember it appearing during his Tonight Show run, but the Gen. Eisenhower mug is back on his desk, too.
Following the monologue, Andy joined Conan and the guests on the couch- I hope that stays as a part of the routine.
