Where do I start with The Exorcist? How about how it’s one of the only real hardcore horror movie crossover films, a movie with underage crucifix masturbation, more cuss words than you can shake a stick at and demonic possession that is also a mainstream film?
Unique is the word. There has never been a film like it before or since. Sure, there’ve been horror films that have done well, that have become part of popular culture, but few of them are regarded as art like this one. When the Catholic Church embraces a horror movie you know you have something special.
Today’s picture features the unsung second star of the film, Eileen Dietz, Linda Blair’s double, as the great Dick Smith applies her facial prosthetics. And not just any prosthetics. In the photo, Smith is hiding the tube that runs under the make-up and spews out the split pea soup.
