The Behind the Scenes Pic of the Day is not insane. It simply wants to die.

Correction: Today's pic comes from Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man, not Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. Poor Moose, Chaney's German Shepherd, died in 1944 (with A&CMF coming out 1948 that doesn't make it entirely likely that picture came from that film). Moose was run over by a production truck on a movie set. Chaney must have been devastated. I've altered the article below to reflect the correction.
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with today’s Behind the Scenes pic!
Today’s pic is of the great Lon Chaney Jr. in his iconic Wolf Man make-up and comes from some down time during the making of Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man where Chaney reprised the role of Larry Talbot alongside Bela Lugosi’s Frankenstein.
I've actually not seen this movie, but this is the second picture I've featured from it, the first involving Jack Pierce applying Chaney's make-up. Whoever the still photographer was on this film know what he or she was doing, I tell ya' that because this picture is awesome.
In fact it was one of the first images I found that made me want to do this column. Here you have Chaney taking a breather, in full make-up, using his beloved dog Moose as a pillow. Never let it be said that The Wolf Man isn’t a pack animal.

If you have a pic you think should be included email me. I’m looking for the iconic, the rare or the just plain cool behind the scenes shots to feature here.
Tomorrow’s Behind the Scenes Pic is gonna have an old friend for dinner! See you then!
