I am – Hercules!!
Whew!
Deadline Hollywood reports that it’s now “doubtful” longtime “Dawson’s Creek” showrunner and “Life As We Know It” director Greg Berlanti will direct "The Flash," the first big-screen adventure to follow DC Comics’ Fastest Man Alive.
Berlanti’s “Life As We Know It” only scored 28 percent positive on Rotten Tomatoes’s survey of movie critics; at the box office its opening weekend came in second behind the sophomore frame of the excellent David Fincher/Aaron Sorkin collaboration “The Social Network.”
Warners long ago announced TV dramedy vet Berlanti (his other credits include The WB's "Jack & Bobby" and ABC's "Brothers & Sisters") would write and direct “Green Lantern” -- before they announced that Berlanti would be replaced by Martin Campbell and his script would be rewritten by one of the key Harry Potter screenwriters.
The Deadline story also indicates Berlanti’s treatment for “Green Lantern 2” will be turned in by Christmas. Hopefully Warners will be quick to hire someone to rewrite that one too.
