I am – Hercules!!
Dreamy 21-year-old redhead Emma Stone (“Superbad,” “Zombieland,” “Easy A”) is about to be made an offer to play the role of Mary Jane Watson in Sony’s “Spider-Man” reboot, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Perfect casting, I say!
Stone, who just three years ago was playing Dylan Baker’s daughter on Fox’s Nathan Fillion vehicular mystery series “Drive,” would be the second piece of casting following Andrew Garfield (“Lions For Lambs,” “The Social Network”), 27, who will play the high-school-age Peter Parker.
Marc Webb, who directed “(500) Days of Summer,” an episode of NBC's “The Office” and Fox's “LoneStar” pilot, helms the untitled Spidey project from a screenply by James Vanderbilt (“Darkness Falls,” “Basic,” “The Rundown,” “Zodiac,” “The Losers”).
Sony wants it in cinemas July 3, 2012.
