Shelley Conn (Princess Pondicherry in “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”), a Briton, has landed the female lead opposite Jason O’Mara, an Irishman, in Fox’s time-travel dinosaur adventure “Terra Nova.”
Conn and O’Mara will play Jim and Elizabeth Shannon, who take their three kids and use a hole in time to escape from Earth’s ecologically ravaged future into the dinosaur era.
Overseen by showrunner Brannon Braga (co-creator of “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “Threshold” and “FlashFoward”), “Terra” also stars Alison Miller (“Kings”) and Stephen Lang (“Avatar”) as a pair of humans who have been living in the Cretaceous era longer than the Shannons.
Shooting starts in October. Its first episode airs in May, its second next autumn.
