‘In The Taxi On The Way Over Here!! Learn Which UPRIGHT CITIZENS BRIGADE Star Hosts The First New SNL Since May 15!!

I am – Hercules!! Former SNL cast member Amy Poehler returns to host the 36th season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” tonight with musical guest Katy Perry. Next month’s hosts are rumored to be: Oct. 2: Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”) Oct. 9: Jane Lynch (“Glee”) Oct. 23: Emma Stone (“Easy A”) Oct. 30: Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”) If you’ve not heard, cast members Will Forte and Jenny Slate won’t be back this season and SNL has added four new players: 1) Taran Killam, the real-life husband of the not-Alyson-Hannigan girl on “How I Met Your Moher,” is a Groundlings vet and may be the first guy ever to make the leap from “Mad TV” to SNL (at age 19 he appeared in the 2001-2002 "Mad" season while SNL viewers ignored him in favor of Will Ferrell, Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon). Like Kenan Thompson, Killam appeared on the Nickelodeon sketch show "All That." He was also in “Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out,” recurs on “Mother” as a guy named Blauman, and played an orderly in that final season of “Scrubs” no one watched. See him do impressions of Seth Rogen, Paul Giamatti, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Topher Grace, Ashton Kutcher, Ryan Reynolds, and Tom Hanks in this "Scrubs" webisode: 2) Vanessa Bayer is a Chicago stand-up who’s performed with the Second City touring company, iO Chicago and the Annoyance Theater. This is her head in a Blue Shield commercial: 3) Paul Brittain is a performer and instructor at iO Chicago. Here he is as the ghost of Steve Prefontaine: 4) Jay Pharaoh is an impressionist without a lot of screen credits: 11:30 p.m. Saturday. NBC.
